"My name is Bina Sighn, From West Myagdi district. I have 2 daughters. A single woman, whom I used to call her aunty, introduced me to Sabina Chamling's (Executive Director). She came to meet me at my house and encouraged me to join the single women group of Rise and Shine Nepal's training and empowerment of single women. This is how I got connected with Rise and Shine Nepal through my relatives. I had already taken basic sewing and cutting training and I was very happy to know that the Executive Director of Rise and Shine Nepal would give sewing and cutting training to us single women, even though I was dying to learn due to lack of money. So I got a chance to learn 3 months of tailoring and tailoring special course in AR fashion design Pulchowk. After joining the group, meeting with many sisters, getting to know each other, and expanding the relationship, the spirit increased a lot. Received incense-making training, and 3 months of special sewing and cutting training from Rise and Shine Nepal. After 3 months of special sewing and cutting training, I got a job in Purnaa garment of Bhaisepati and till now I am earning a living by doing that work. I want to continue this work in the future and do something in agriculture. I would like to thank Rise and Shine Nepal for teaching me skills and helping me stand on my feet."
